Friesland Foods Cheese Deutschland GmbH
“If you like cheese, you’ll love Frico”: so says the advertising for one of the biggest manufacturers of dairy products in the world. Every day this Dutch company provides people in over one hundred countries with healthy milk, butter, yoghurt, cream and, of course, cheese.
The company’s success story began over 115 years ago, when a few dairy owners had the idea of exporting their products abroad. This prompted the establishment of the “Friesche Coöperatieve Zuivel-Export-Vereeniging”.
The Frico brand is one of the best known names operated by Friesland Foods Cheese Deutschland GmbH. The German company is itself part of Royal Friesland Campina, a multinational corporation that develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of dairy products and fruit drinks. A total of around 22,000 employees work for Royal Friesland Campina, generating turnover of 8.2 billion euros a year.
Challenges and solutions
Whilst hunting for a new provider, Friesland Foods Cheese Deutschland GmbH consulted Seidel & Friends Consulting before opting for a tariff concept with Telefónica O2 Germany. The deciding factors here were mainly the reasonably priced offering and the easily calculated costs. It was Seidel & Friends Consulting’s recommendation of introducing the BlackBerry solution that also resulted in a considerable additional cost reduction where data use abroad was concerned.
When it came to the technological implementation, Friesland Foods Cheese Deutschland GmbH was entirely supported by Seidel & Friends Consulting. The roaming conditions are still reviewed at regular intervals and optimised for the client.
