City of Münster
It is not for nothing that the City of Mu?nster was given the title “Most Liveable City in the World” in 2004. The lovely city in Westphalia has a lot to offer its 300,000 residents: bountiful nature and a historic old town, sights and culture and entertainment for young and old. The city also boasts several universities, and is home to important courts and administrative organs of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
citeq is similar to an owner-operated municipal enterprise and is Mu?nster’s official IT service provider for local authorities and public administration bodies and their institutions. A total of 130 employees take care of all IT processes as well as PC workspaces for the City of Mu?nster. citeq also equips 80 schools with computer technology and operates large-scale IT processes for 20 local authorities in the surrounding area. It also serves 400 other clients from the public domain.
Challenges and solutions
citeq wanted a new mobile phone tariff for its employees, which primarily needed to be solid and cost-effective. Seidel & Friends Consulting was able to fulfil these exact requirements and convinced with a flexible and tailor-made concept.
A new framework contract was negotiated with Telefónica O2 Germany, offering particularly affordable terms for multiple calls and data transfer. Overall, several hundred mobile phone contracts, complete with BlackBerry solution, are now in use alongside separate data contracts. In addition, support with new or changed requirements is also part of the service, thus ensuring requests can be dealt with promptly.
